Extension: BolAI : AI Hinglish Caption Maker (Chrome Extension) Last updated: 2026-05-17
Summary
BolAI does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any user data. Everything runs on your device.
Data we do NOT collect
- We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII).
- We do not collect your name, email, IP address, location, or browsing history.
- We do not transmit the text you type or the Hinglish output to any server.
- We do not use analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or tracking of any kind.
- We do not use cookies.
- We do not sell or share data with third parties.
- We do not show ads.
What is stored locally on your device
The extension uses Chrome’s chrome.storage.local API to save the most recent 20 rewrites (the tone you chose, the original input length, and the Hinglish output) so the History panel can show them when you reopen the side panel. This data:
- Stays on your computer only.
- Is never transmitted off your device.
- Can be deleted at any time by clicking “Clear all” in the History section of the side panel, or by removing the extension.
How the AI works
The English-to-Hinglish rewriting is performed entirely by Chrome’s built-in Gemini Nano model, which runs on your device. The extension does not make any network requests to any external service. There is no cloud component.
